QEB Academy (NB) held by Prince FC

Quess East Bengal Academy (North Bengal) were held to an 1-1 draw by Prince FC in the Group B league match of the Samtse Championship 2019 played on Tuesday at Samtse Football Ground, Bhutan.

Bikram Sarkar gave the QEB North Bengal Academy boys the lead in the 22nd minute while Abinsh Kujur restored parity for the Bhutanese side in the 84th minute.

In their next matches in the tournament Quess East Bengal Academy (North Bengal) will meet Thimpu City FC on 18th January at 3 pm.
EB drew in CAB 1st Div. League

East Bengal Club took home 8 points by the virtue of first innings lead after their match vs Sporting Union ended in a draw.

Bowlers handed East Bengal the upper hand against Sporting Union in CAB First Division League tournament Group A (3 day) match on the first day. Susanta Das grabbed 4 wickets for just 7 runs along with Anustup Majumder and B Amit's two each to help EB bundle Sporting Union for 173 runs and ended the day on 19 for no loss.

Resuming the second day on 19 for no loss EB declared on 323/3 as Abhishek Mitra hit 110 off 160 balls along with Writam Porel (66) and Soham Ghosh (63 not out) half-centuries while Sporting's scorecard read 18 for no loss.

East Bengal bowlers failed to bowl out Sporting Union on the final day as Sporting batted the whole day scoring 225/6 to force the match into a draw.

QEB lose to Chennai City

Quess East Bengal lost to Chennai City FC by 2-1 margin in the Hero I League match played today evening at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore.

Laldanmawia Ralte gave QEB the lead in the 9th minute but Pedro Manzi scored in the 49th minute to restore parity. Hero of the Match Alexander Romario netted the winning goal for Chennai in the 70th minute.

With this loss QEBFC remain in the 6th position of the League with 19 points from 11 matches.

QEBFC started strongly and took the lead in the 9th minute when Laldanmawia Ralte nodded in an assist from Borja Perez following a flag kick from Lalrindika Ralte. QEBFC could have doubled the lead a few minutes later when Jobby Justin's deft placement narrowly missed the mark.

Pedro Manzi restored parity for the hosts when he scored from a pass by Edwin Sydney Vanspaul four minutes into second halfl. Alexander Romario Jesuraj scored the winner for Chennai in the 70th minute from a pass by Pravitto Raju.

Samad Ali Mallick, Toni Dovale, Lalrindika Ralte, Jaime Santos of QEBFC and Shriram B, Roberto Eslava of Chennai City were booked in the match.
